Kelsey Chmil
Kelsey Chmil ("shim-ull") works under the alias of her art label,Blue Bronco Collections. Her ceramic body of work draws inspiration from the natural world, using motifs such as colorful lichens and replicas of austere skeletal remains to adorn simple, but striking forms. Most of Kelsey's designs were born from a desire to elevate her collection of oddities - bones, fossils, lichen, stones, etc - from their dusty shelves to a position of utility and daily embellishment. She invites curiosity into the everyday by decorating functional pieces with painstakingly hand-sculpted elements and enchanting color combinations.
